I am seldom impressed with professional athletes. While superstars on the court and in the field, they fail horribly as role models. Anyone remember the hot personal mess Darryl Strawberry wallowed in during his heyday? Fast-forward to May 14th, 2009, when Mr. Baseball talked to Tavis Smiley (PBS) about what makes a real man; it ain’t all those millions and being an eight-time All Star, four-time World Series Champion and National League Rookie of the Year.
Now I’m impressed.
